Three Keys to a Unique and Authentic Life

Human Design may seem like a very complex system at first, but in reality, it is simple to use. In the beginning, it’s most helpful to focus on three core elements that can unlock your life: TYPE, STRATEGY, and AUTHORITY. We give ourselves time and practice living these three aspects. Over the course of about seven years, we can begin to see how life truly transforms. Most people want quick fixes and instant answers. Human Design, however, requires awareness, experimentation, self-reflection, and time.

TYPE

Your Type reveals the energetic strategy of your aura and how you naturally move toward what you want in life. There are four main Types: Manifestor, Generator / Manifesting Generator, Projector, Reflector

More information about your Type – click here.

Each Type has its own Strategy:

MANIFESTOR

Inform others about what you are going to do before you do it.

GENERATOR / MANIFESTING GENERATOR

Wait for life to come to you and respond with your body.

PROJECTOR

Wait for an invitation or recognition from the outside when it comes to major life decisions (relationships, career, projects, relocation, partnerships, etc.)

REFLECTOR

Wait through a full lunar cycle (29.5 days) before taking action or making decisions.

STRATEGY

Every human being has an electromagnetic field surrounding the physical body—this is known as the aura. Each aura has its own Strategy. STRATEGY shows us the correct and practical way to operate according to our Type. When we follow our Strategy, resistance is reduced—such as anger, frustration, bitterness, disappointment, and fear. Strategy supports a more relaxed, creative, and aligned way of living.

AUTHORITY

Inner Authority is the way we make decisions based on the intelligence of the body, not the mind. Correct decisions are always connected to the body. The mind does not truly know what is right for us—it only thinks it does. That’s why the mind is also referred to as Outer Authority. It makes decisions based on past experiences, learned patterns, and external influences—parents, teachers, society, media, and politics. What the mind does not know is what is truly right for our body, our soul, and our uniqueness.

The time we live in clearly shows how disconnected many of us are from our bodies and our decision-making. We have learned to listen to others telling us what is best for us, rather than trusting ourselves.

Inner Authority functions like an internal GPS navigation system. We cannot choose it—it is given to us at birth. All we need to do is learn how to listen to it and follow it.

The mind, on the other hand, is like a backseat passenger—parents, media, society, politics—constantly telling us where to go. The mind’s role is to sit back, observe, and enjoy the ride, while allowing the body to drive. True knowing lives in the body, not the mind. When we allow the body to lead, authentic life begins. This is what guides us toward fulfilling our soul’s purpose and living our true potential.

Your Authority depends on your personal design. There are seven different types of Authority.
